The Global Scientific Committee invites you to submit an abstract for presentation at the 25th IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion, Settings for Planetary Health and Well-Being, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on May 13-16, 2025.

All abstract submitters, including individual contributors, are encouraged to interact and collaborate with other presenters and participants wherever possible. Participatory, collaborative and non traditional session formats will be given priority in the selection process.

Submission Formats

Abstracts can be submitted in eight different formats:

• Symposium

• Workshop

• Research Presentation (Oral/Poster)

• Innovation in Policy and Practice Presentation (Oral/Poster)

• Round Table

• Alternative Presentation: New Technologies

• Alternative Presentation: Art

• Lunch With an Author (Book)

• Lunch With an Author (Blogs or Other)

Abstract Themes

We encourage submissions to match the subthemes of the Conference. Abstracts can be submitted under one of the three Conference Themes:

Settings for Health (cities, market places, universities, workplaces, schools, islands, airports) and innovations.

Including:

• Health literate settings – schools, healthcare, communities and beyond

• New Settings for Health (Promotion) Innovation

• Digital Health Transformation (AI, Big Data, Digital equity, tools and stewardship)

• Precision health promotion

Beyond settings: systems, networks and connections

Including:

• Demographic change and inclusion of all age groups, genders and belief

• Health Equity and its determinants

• Health and Wellbeing in all Policies

• Glocal (global/local) networks for health

• Health Promotion Financing

Planetary Settings for Health Promotion

Including:

• One Health & Planetary Health Promotion (ecohealth, human and animal health, healthy spirit)

• Spirituality, faith and planetary wellbeing

• Global diplomacy and emergency/pandemic preparedness in the current social and natural reality, Risk communication and community engagement in health emergencies

• Health infodemic

Instructions:

• Please choose the language of your submission, from the start and click on the respective link below. Note that you cannot change the language during the submission. The language of your abstract submission should be the language of presentation at the Conference.

• During submission, you will be able to select ONE submission format and ONE theme per abstract.

Authors are welcome to submit multiple abstracts.

• Abstracts should be typed into the Word template. Save this on your computer and upload in the online submission form.

• Abstract submissions must not include tables or figures.

• The abstract should be typed in Arial font, size 11pt and single line spacing.

• The abstract must not exceed 2,500 characters

• Please only use standard abbreviations or define them in full.

• Accuracy is the responsibility of the author. Please ensure that you proof read your submission carefully.

• Information presented must not be published prior to the IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion.
